Creigh Kelley

 

Event Announcing - TV/Radio Commentating  - Master of Ceremonies/Clinics

 

Creigh, pronounced Cree, is widely recognized as one of the most talented and distinguished start/finish line announcers    in the country. He has worked with many of the best and largest triathlon and running events in the US and abroad for      the past 26 years. Creigh has also served as a radio and TV color commentator at local and national events, including the National Half-Marathon Championships, the World Triathlon Championships, the Chicago Marathon, and the Columbus Marathon. 

ABC Sports Radio selected Creigh as their national track and field and triathlon analyst for the Sydney Games, Summer Olympics. Creigh was awarded the SILVER DOME AWARD for Excellence in Broadcasting by the Illinois Broadcasters Association for his play-by-play commentary of the Chicago Marathon. Creigh has been chosen as the U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials start/finish line announcer periodically over the past two decades and has been emcee for numerous      pre-event clinics and awards ceremonies.

Creigh's value is based on his past experience as a competitor, an administrator at the state and national levels, and his many years of experience as a race director. Creigh also served as an executive committee member of the International Federation of Sport at Altitude, as well as a member of the USA Track and Field National Long Distance Running Division, Executive Committee. Creigh is a founding member of Running USA and a member of their national board of directors.

Additional Experience
Olympic Trials Men’s Marathon Site Selection Committee (2008, 1992, 1988, 1984). U.S. National Team Leader for the U.S. Men's Ekiden Relay Team in Chiba, Japan (1990, 2002); Team Leader for the World Cup Marathon in Korea (’87); past national chairman for the USA Track and Field Men's Long Distance Running Committee; two-time team leader for the World Road Relay Men's Team (Denmark in ‘94 and Greece in ‘95); 1969-1973: combat officer, U.S. Army, Vietnam and Germany.

Personal                                                                                                                                                                              Creigh is CEO of Q Racing Group and President of the national special events management company, BKB Limited. He serves on the Board of Trustees for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Rocky Mountain Chapter, is the Vice president   of the Board for the Kipture Primary School (Kenya) Foundation and Vice President of the Board of Miles For Miracles. Has run 5-7 days a week for the past 31 years and occasionally even races!

National announcer for Danskin Women's Triathlon Series (8 events), the John Bingham Half Marathon Race Series (Tucson, Columbus,OH, Chicago and Randleman, NC), ING Georgia Marathon, Cherry Blossom 10M, the Deseret News Marathon, the LA Triathlon, the Silicon Valley Marathon, the Road Runner Akron Marathon and the Columbus Marathon and the Post News Colorado Colfax Marathon (which he also serves as Senior Advisor).

2006 Assignments
National Endurance Event Announcer and emcee for seven Walt Disney World events. National Operations and Timing Consultant to the Prostate Cancer Pace Race Series. National announcer for Danskin Women's Triathlon Series (8 events), the Valley of Gold Half Marathon (Tucson), Cherry Blossom 10M and the Deseret News Marathon, the Chicago Distance Classic Half Marathon, the LA Triathlon, the Silicon Valley Marathon and the Victory Junction Run (North Carolina). In addition, he provides TV commentary to the Cherry Blossom 10 Miler, the Road Runner Akron Marathon and the Columbus Marathon. Co- Manager for the Post News Colorado Colfax Marathon 2006.

National Endurance Event Announcer and emcee for six Walt Disney World events (including the marathon). National Event Manager to the 14 event Prostate Cancer Pace Race Series. National announcer for Danskin Women's Triathlon Series (8 events), the Valley of Gold Half Marathon (Tucson), Cherry Blossom 10M and the Race For The Cure-Tucson, the Deseret News Marathon, the Chicago Distance Classic Half Marathon, the LA Triathlon, the Silicon Valley Marathon and the Marathon of the Palm Beaches. In addition, he provides TV commentary to the Cherry Blossom 10 Miler, the Road Runner Akron Marathon and the Columbus Marathon. Operations Manager for the Post News Colorado Colfax Marathon scheduled for 2006.

Provided TV commentary to the Cherry Blossom 10 Miler, the Road Runner Akron Marathon and the Columbus Marathon. Guest speaker at the National Guard Lincoln, NE Marathon.

2000-2003 Assignments
Emcee and announcer for the Walt Disney World Marathon, Danskin Women's Triathlon Series (8 events), Cherry Blossom 10M, Metropolitan Bank Triathlon (Cleveland), LA Triathlon, and Road Runner Akron Marathon. He provided expert color commentary for ESPN Radio for the LaSalle Bank Chicago Marathon and TV commentary at the Columbus Marathon. Guest faculty at the 20th Annual Road Race Management Race Director’s Meeting, Cleveland Marathon. Announced the Green Bay Marathon (2001), and the Seattle Marathon (2001). TV commentary at the Parkersburg Half Marathon (2000-1). Track & Field and Triathlon Analyst for ABC Sports Radio in Sydney for the Olympics (2000). Led sponsorship panel at the prestigious ED2K Event Director Conference in San Diego (2000). Guest announcer at FILA SkyMarathon in Cervinia, Italy (2000).
